I didn't realise the SCPC feeds up the very top of the spectrum were feeding ETI for German DAB distribution, here in the UK the BBC and Digital One use Astra 4A TP31. I'm thinking that if this is a Eutelsat deal to rent unused spectrum for these feeds then that may lapse and the respective transmitters/downlink sites may all have been migrated to new a feed from a different bird?
it is very unlikely SES will illuminate a 2F transponder on the Eutelsat bands before 4th October midnight, as until then Eutelsat "own" them....we need to see this evening more transponder it
and check if will be uplink new signal with 4 tp

11565V
11604V
or pe beam or spot beam

What do you mean Solly?it plan next astra 2a take astra 3a

Disappointing. The 2A North beam is the only real fly in the ointment with the demise of most of the Eutelsat TPs (UK spot beams excepted)

Yes that makes sense, and like C0re says, Astra 3A is not in use now so it must the backup for 3B now.I also remember there was some talk about 2A helping out at 23.5E but I've been looking at some of the SES publicity leaflets they all talk about 2A staying at 28.2E until 2015.
2A can only do 11.70-12.50 though, so it would probably be more of a backup if moved to 23.5E. SES do like their backups.
how many UK tp's on 2F, do we know? 16?All "Eutelsat frequencies" will be 2F as far as we know.
